Class Descriptions

Preschool Creative Dance

This 45 minute class will include dance exercises that incorporate familiar games and songs for young children. Props such as magical wands, princess tiaras, dance ribbons, parachutes, and bean bags will be used during class. This fun, yet structured class is a great way to introduce dance to your little one.

Ballet/ Tap Combo

This is an hour class that incorporates 30 minutes of a Tap lesson, and 30 minutes of a Ballet lesson. It is a great dance class for those looking for a bit of variety. The Tap portion combines rhythmic sounds with different music selections. The Ballet portion introduces the beginning techniques of classical and contemporary ballet. Both are taught in a way that the students develop a love for dance, while having fun.

Mommy & Me Class

This 45 minute class follows the same format as our Preschool Creative Dance class. It incorporates familiar games and songs for young children, while using props. This is designed for the youngest ballerinas, and has "mom" or another "adult" take class with them.

Tap

This class teaches the fundamentals of tap. Tap class is all about rhythm, beats, and sound. Students will learn basic tap terminology and how to execute the steps properly, all while enjoying making music with their feet.

Hip Hop
This is an hour class that is high energy. The class begins with a cardio warm-up, and stretch. The students learn funky dance combinations such as those seen on MTV, VH1, and popular dance shows. This popular class will have students moving and grooving from beginning to end.

Salsa
This is an hour class that begins with a warm-up and stretch. Students will learn the beginning techniques of Salsa in a comfortable environment. This class is great for those wanting to step out of their element and try something new. We offer a childrens class, as well as an adult class. Students will be dancing the hour away to festive Salsa music, leaving them wanting more.

Ballet/Lyrical
This is an hour class that begins with a warm-up and stretch. It teaches the fundamentals of classical and contemporary ballet. Students will learn basic positions, jumps, turns and steps during each class. This is a great class for flexibility and muscle toning. Not only will it teach poise and grace, but it will teach a discipline that will carry on throughout life.

Adult DanceFit

This is a 45 minute class for the adult that is looking for a workout! This class is fun and upbeat. It begins with a low impact stretch, followed by some cardio and strength training. This class is designed for beginners to intermediate. We modify for all levels so everyone feels comfortable.
